Luckily, Clay is the managing editor of Teddy Bear & Friends. "And what could be more natural for us than to give away teddy bears?" Clay and her staff at the Primedia-owned magazine (and part of the same company as Folio:) launched "Project Compassion," a teddy bear donation drive for the families who suffered losses in the World Trade Center and Pentagon disasters. "Teddy bear people are usually very generous, and everybody seemed to believe that a teddy bear can be a healing object," says Clay.
